Andrea Katz, Ed. D.

Certificated Special Education Advocate for San Diego County

After a successful career as a special educator in both public and non-public schools in San Diego County, I became a wholehearted believer in the power of teacher and parent teamwork. The more we worked together outside of the classroom, the more the child progressed in the classroom.

My interest in supporting parents led to my decision to pursue special education advocacy. I graduated from Alliant International University with my doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management and then graduated from a Certificate Course at University of San Diego in Special Education Advocacy.

I now have a practice of supporting families who wish to  ‘advance’ their child’s educational proficiencies.  I believe successful results are obtained through good communication, diligence, attention to detail, knowledge of educational law and research, use of organizational and time-management strategies, and the kind-hearted passion to reach out and help a family pursue their goals.
